I’ve been in this business running equipment for a long, long time. How long? Well, long enough to be called an old pro, but not nearly long enough to be called just plain old. (At least I hope not.)
At one time I only worked for big companies on big contracts. I had a fleet of trucks and heavy equipment while managing a team of employees. I guess I got fed up; too much time driving to guys’ houses to rouse them from bed. Too many advil on a daily basis to ease the stress. Too much finger-crossing on payday and tax time. I wanted to simplify.
So that’s what I did.
After selling off the extra equipment and trucks and saying goodbye to most of my guys, I climbed in my machine and dug my way from Mass to Maine and I haven’t looked back. I’m happy as a clam here. Just give me something to sink my bucket teeth into and you’ll see it for yourself.
